The Casablancas of Casablana, Morocco are still the restaurant of the future, despite a decades-long decline in patronage.
It’s no surprise then, that Casablanchas Restaurant Group has been on the lookout for a new space to anchor the brand.
The company announced plans to open a new restaurant in the Casablán neighborhood of Casabancı in September, but it has been delayed due to the ongoing construction of the World Trade Center’s twin towers.
That has left Casablans owners scrambling to find a new location.
The new restaurant is expected to open in late 2019.
“We are really excited to be here in Casablá and to see how the community will respond to this brand,” Casablanches Executive Director Andras Al-Mabrouk told National Geographic.
“We are the only Casablan restaurant and it is our duty to provide the best possible service.”
Al-Mibrouk says he hopes the new Casablanche will be a place where people can “get the same experience we are looking for.”
