They’re one of the first dishes on a plate, a signature dish that often features beans, rice, and a variety of other condiments.
But what’s it like to be a taco-eating American?
I’ve spent years in Austin, Texas, and have visited over 70 taco restaurants, all with their own distinct and unique flavor profiles.
As I wrote in my book “The Tacos at Denny’s Restaurant,” it’s a very personal experience, with many people from different backgrounds.
Some of my favorite places are the one-night stands where you order and eat your tacos, while others have an in-person experience.
