Houston Astros to open Astros restaurant in Galveston

Houston — The Houston Astros have announced that they will be opening a restaurant in the old downtown Galvestor Hotel at 716 S. Fourth St. in Galvez, the team announced Thursday.

The Galvez-based company is known for its award-winning cooking, including the Houston Steakhouse, which is a favorite of chef-owner Jeff Tufano.

Tufano said in a statement that he was excited to see the Houston Astros bring the Houston Grill concept to Galvez.

The new restaurant will be named the Houston Astrodome Grill, and it will open to the public at the end of the season.
